6253-63 Hollywood Blvd

Hollywood, CA 90028

Northeast corner of Hollywood and Vine

The three tall buildings on the corner of Hollywood and Vine represented a visual center of Hollywood in the 1920's and 1930's. The Taft, Equitable, and Dyas buildings are known primarily for their large size during the time period they were constructed. All three buildings are currently used as office buildings.

This commercial tower for the Equitable Trust Insurance Company was by designed by architect Aleck Curlett in 1929. It was designed in the Gothic Deco style -- popular with financial institutions of the day.
